The Dunsborough Sub Centre is operated solely by volunteers in the community to provide a service that would otherwise be unavailable. We are always looking for dedicated volunteers to assist with our ambulance response, first aid events and with the day-to-day running of the sub centre.

Volunteer Ambulance Officers

St John Ambulance in Western Australia covers the largest area of any single ambulance service in the world – 2,525,500 square kilometres or 33% of the total landmass of Australia. 

There are 160 St John Ambulance locations operating in country WA stretching from Christmas Island to Albany, Esperance, Eucla and Wyndham. The area is serviced by over 2000 dedicated volunteer ambulance officers and 70 paramedics, who travel in excess of 1.6 million kilometres within the country area annually, transporting over 32,000 people.

Volunteer First Aid Services

St John Ambulance first aid volunteers are a regular presence at many of Western Australia’s local and major events offering first aid assistance and safeguarding the health of the community.

From weekend sporting fixtures to large scale events such as the Perth Royal Show and Lotterywest Skyworks, first aid volunteers make sure those of us attending sporting and cultural events do so in the knowledge that there is a trained helping hand to give care and assistance if needed.
